Um dos textos em cena: “Ouviste, ouviste? os sinais de loucura?… ela foi contando: – um dos meus prazeres é caminhar. Vou para o bosque, vagueio entre as flores, olho para elas. É uma alegria. Faço aquilo que já fiz dezenas de vezes: andar, passear, uma actividade trivial, sem sobressaltos. Mas, de repente, um espanto: percebi que jamais tinha visto uma flor ou uma folha, as formas, os desenhos, as nervuras, pareciam mãos, uma obra de arte! Não, não são sinais de loucura… colheste olhos de poeta. Os poetas ensinam a ver. Ver é complicado, complexo. Observar, admirar, contemplar, prezar, encantar, cantar… e ouvir os pássaros. Ouviste-os? E viste-os também? Lá em cima, na árvore que mostra o poder de olhar com sapiência… ou com tolice.”

One of the texts on stage: “Did you hear that? The signs of madness? … She went on: ‘One of my pleasures is walking. I go to the woods, wander among the flowers, look at them. It’s a joy. I do what I have done dozens of times before: walking, strolling, a trivial activity, without surprises. But suddenly, a shock: I realized that I had never seen a flower or a leaf before, the shapes, the patterns, the veins, they looked like hands, a work of art! No, these are not signs of madness… you have acquired the eyes of a poet. Poets teach us to see. Seeing is complicated, complex. Observing, admiring, contemplating, cherishing, enchanting, singing… and listening to the birds. Did you hear them? And did you see them too? Up there, in the tree that shows the power of looking with wisdom… or with foolishness.”
