SINOPSE

Um espetáculo imersivo onde a narrativa é construída a partir dos sentidos.

Spectrum não pode ser descrito como uma peça de teatro, mas uma experiência de fruição estética visual e sonora onde cada espectador é convidado a mergulhar numa pós-realidade onde o ser humano interage e aprende a conviver com o universo virtual.

O trabalho, com encenação de Rui Pires, propõe uma reflexão sobre o lugar do humano num mundo futuro onde o “homo sapiens” dá lugar ao homo cibernético. Sem apresentar juízo de valor, Spectrum pode ser visto como uma alegoria moderna da caverna de Platão, onde o ser humano se confronta com um novo patamar da evolução da espécie e aprende a lidar com uma realidade nova e desafiante.

Ecrãs de televisão, slides, projeção vídeo, mapeamento de movimento corporal que acompanha a coreografia do ator em tempo real, são elementos que se conjugam com a música eletrónica para criar um ambiente imersivo onde a vídeo dança remete o espetador para um vislumbre de um possível futuro.

Sem medos, sem preconceitos, a arte espelha a realidade da condição humana. Não é possível a substituição do elemento humano em cima de um palco, mas o futuro passa por uma colaboração entre ele e a tecnologia disponível. Que seja cada um a procurar perceber qual será o seu lugar no virtual mundo novo.

SINOPSIS

An immersive show where the narrative is constructed from the senses.

Spectrum cannot be described as a play, but rather an experience of visual and auditory aesthetic enjoyment where each spectator is invited to immerse themselves in a post-reality where human beings interact and learn to coexist with the virtual universe.

The work, directed by Rui Pires, proposes a reflection on the place of humans in a future world where “homo sapiens” gives way to cybernetic homo. Without passing judgment, Spectrum can be seen as a modern allegory of Plato’s cave, where humans are confronted with a new stage in the evolution of the species and learn to deal with a new and challenging reality.

Television screens, slides, video projection, and body movement mapping that accompanies the actor’s choreography in real time are elements that combine with electronic music to create an immersive environment where video dance gives the viewer a glimpse of a possible future.

Without fear or prejudice, art mirrors the reality of the human condition. It is not possible to replace the human element on stage, but the future lies in collaboration between humans and the available technology. Let each person seek to understand their place in the new virtual world.
